Acuratek has designed and delivered custom fire risk assessment models  to help clients achieve their fire risk improvement objectives. Utilizing available incident data and specific installation and occupancy information, we can assess fire frequency by plant classification and determine fire event likelihood.

Consequence analysis is typically based on the extent of the fire  damage zone; determined either through claims data or heat radiation model computation. Cost impacts are derived from business interruption, asset replacement costs and the human element.

Fire risk estimates are produced by scenario and priorities are established with the aid of cost benefit analysis. Fire risk mitigation strategies are derived as model outputs so stakeholders can decide where to invest  scarce fire detection and extinguishing system resources.

Transportation System Fire Risk

Bulk ship fire risk assessments have been delivered for fires originating in the conveyor systems of self-unloading vessels. The fire risk assessment for this class of ship entailed:
